![]() I personally don't like the change from a full set of numbered spare cards to pull from to a lesser number of generic wildcards. The small corner folded over in the original was much, much better. ![]() It shows the whole card, and as soon as I see it my bad brain shifts focus to it and starts looking for cards that would go with that one, not the actual current one. The effect used with the next card preview option is jarring, to me. The pet evolution is unclear the bar gets to the halfway point and they're ready to evolve then? It was get the bar to full in the original, and then it can evolve, which made sense. Why the change in currency? I get why maybe dollars isn't the best, but make it gold or something generic, not something specific like "pure" when it's never really explained what that means. It takes just a beat too long, where my brain's about to go "oh come on!" The original wasn't like that. It takes slightly longer to do things, like between finishing a hand and shifting to the results screen. In the original I made the window mid-sized so I could have it on one side of the screen and keep watching Youtube or whatever on the other side, and every time I open it it's that size. This could be a pro for some people, I know, but it's ended up as a major con for me.Ī related issue: The game doesn't keep my adjusted window size. They seem to be suffering from that same redesign that's hitting a lot of websites now, where everything's bigger and has more space around it with the cards it just makes it harder for me to properly parse what I'm looking at, and I have to make the game window fairly small to fix this problem (which is a problem in my head, mind you). I immediately noticed the change to the card backs and the overall size of the cards. I'm not nearly as enamored with this version, so I'll start with the cons. I got it on sale for 99 cents, and I love it enough that twice now I've deleted the game file that keeps track of the in-game feats (not the Steam achievements) so that I could have a more legitimate reason to play it more.
